Welcome to the Search'n Give Getting Started guide!
What is Search'n Give?
Search'n Give is a platform that lets you support your favorite charities simply by searching the web. Every search you make generates revenue, and a portion of that revenue is donated to a charity of your choice. It's a simple way to make a positive impact—just by doing what you already do online!
How does it work?
- Sign up for a free account on searchngive.org.
- Choose a charity you want to support.
- Use the Search'n Give search engine for your everyday searches.
- Each search helps raise funds for your selected charity.
Installation
You can use Search'n Give directly from the website, or install our browser extension for a seamless experience.
Browser Extension
Our browser extension sets Search'n Give as your default search engine and provides a convenient popup where you can track your donation progress. Click on the link below to install the extension for your browser:
After installation, Search'n Give should now be your default search engine. Any searches you make in your address bar will automatically start donating.
You may also encounter a pop-up asking if you want to keep Search'n Give as your default search engine—be sure to select "Keep it" to continue supporting your chosen charity with every search.
Charity Selection
- Visit our Supported Charities page.
- Browse or search for your favorite charity from the list.
- When you find the charity you want to support, click the "Select" button next to its name.
- Many charities have similar names. If you're unsure, try searching by the charity's EIN (Employer Identification Number). You can usually find this by searching online for the charity name plus "EIN" (e.g., "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital EIN"). If you still have questions, please contact us for assistance.
You can change your selected charity at any time by returning to the Supported Charities page. All searches you make after switching will support your new choice.
Usage
- Just use the search bar on your browser to search the web.
- Each search you perform helps raise funds for your chosen charity.
- You can keep track of your donations by clicking on the browser extension icon.
